Pilot’s are important!!

People see the uniform, the wings, the calm voice on the radio but they don’t always see what it took to get there.
They don’t see the early mornings when the sky was still dark, or the nights spent reviewing checklists and flight plans instead of sleeping.

Every pilot starts with the same dream to fly. But what keeps us going isn’t just the dream; it’s the drive to push through every setback, every rough landing, and every “try again tomorrow.”

Because flying teaches more than just how to handle an airplane. It teaches patience, humility, and the quiet confidence that comes from knowing you earned your place above the clouds.

And then one day, as the sun rises and the horizon opens wide, you realize all those hours, all that effort it was never just about flying. It was about who you became along the way.

Here’s to every aviator chasing the sky, one flight at a time.
Keep climbing. The view is always worth it.

It was a wonderful weekend at
Putnam County Regional Airport during Putnam County Airport Appreciation Days. Thank you to Chapter 1374 for hosting the Young Eagle Rally over 100 children were flown this weekend. Thank you to the Ramp Rats keeping our pilots and participants safe. Thank you to Putnam County Gaming Initiative for the inflatable obstacle course and all the fun games. Thank you to the Emergency Teams,  merchandise vendors, community vendors, food venkdors andaviation vendors for participating this weekend. A big shout out to Figgy Hardwick for keeping the good vibes, rolling with games and music. Also to Coverd Bridge Harmony Chrous for the beautiful voices for opening cermonies.
You are grateful for the Beyond Homeless Incorporated 5k partnership.
Thank you to everyone in the community that came out and supported this event.

Fun stuff… our committee did not get many pictures today as we were busy taking care of activities on hand. Thankful for those participants and vendors that did get photos and we will be sharing those throughout the evening. Come see firsthand tomorrow all the fun and activities!

Huge, huge thanks to everyone that was able to make it out to Airport Appreciation Days today! It was so great to hangout, race the obstacle course, and craft massive bubbles with you all. We're excited to see you again tomorrow, starting at 11:00, for more of the same.

Extra big shoutout to We Be Bouncin LLC for their incredible work setting up their inflatable obstacle course for everyone. We had some incredible races today and there are plenty more to come.
