We are saddened to share that artist Tom Richardson has passed away. Tom’s studio will not be open for Nevada County Open Studios. If you are planning your tour, please do not travel to Stop #50. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Tom’s family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.

THROWBACK TO A LEGEND! Roger McGuinn of The Byrds wasn’t just shaping the sound of folk rock with his iconic 12-string guitar, he was also experimenting with the cutting-edge sounds of the Moog synthesizer.

The Byrds’ The Notorious Byrd Brothers, released in 1968, featured Moog on tracks including “Space Odyssey” and “Moog Raga,” showcasing just how far ahead of the curve McGuinn was. Decades later, he’s still telling the stories behind the music.
