A BIG SHOUTOUT TO 541 CATERING! 👏
One of the things we love about hosting weddings at Sungate Place is seeing the incredible work our local wedding professionals bring to each celebration.
This past weekend, 541 Catering really outdid themselves!
Just look at this presentation. From the beautiful arrangement of the food to the little details that made the entire display so inviting, it was clear that a lot of thought and care went into making everything special.
A wedding is about bringing people together, and good food is certainly one way to do it!
We appreciate the talented people who work behind the scenes to help make these celebrations memorable.

WE LOVE FALL WEDDINGS AT SUNGATE PLACE! 🍂❤️
And today has been a beautiful reminder of why.
The sunshine, the flowers, the fall colors, and a wonderful family gathered to celebrate a wedding.
As I write this tonight, the celebration is still going strong!
The music is bumping into our house from the Grand Hall, and I can only imagine how much fun everyone is having on the dance floor.
But something else happened this evening.
The temperature dropped.
That's Southern Oregon in the fall. A beautiful warm afternoon can turn into a chilly evening pretty quickly.
And while the temperature outside has changed, inside our heated Grand Hall, the music is playing, the dancing continues, and everyone can celebrate in comfort.
There's a little wedding-planning advice in that.
When choosing your wedding venue, don't just picture the perfect weather. Think about what happens when the weather changes.
A good Plan B shouldn't feel like a disappointment. It should be every bit as wonderful as Plan A.
At Sungate Place, you can enjoy the beauty of an outdoor ceremony and the comfort of an indoor celebration.
Because the one thing you shouldn't have to worry about on your wedding day is the weather.
And judging by the music coming through our windows tonight, I'd say this family is having one heck of a celebration!

WHAT WAS ONCE A DREAM IS HAPPENING TONIGHT. ❤️
There's a special kind of excitement at Exit 66 this evening.
Tomorrow is wedding day at Sungate Place.
Tonight, a family is busy getting everything ready. Flowers are being placed, tables are being set, the bar is ready, and the lights are up.
And just across the road at Hugo RV – Glamping Retreat, the RVs are in place. Family and friends are settling in for a weekend they'll remember.
As I watch all this happening, I can't help but think about how far we've come.
This aerial video was taken some time ago, before much of Hugo RV was developed. But even then, we could see the possibilities.
A place where families could gather for a wedding, stay close to one another, and enjoy more than just a few hours together.
Tonight, that vision is becoming reality.
Tomorrow, there will be music, laughter, vows, and celebration.
But tonight, something just as meaningful is happening.
A family is coming together.
And that's what all this building, planting, planning, and dreaming has really been about.
Not just creating places for people to come. Creating reasons for them to stay a little longer.
The wedding may be tomorrow, but the memories are already being made.

A LITTLE FATHERLY ADVICE TO A BRIDE-TO-BE. ❤️
I remember dancing with my daughter at her wedding. Looking back on that moment, there's a little fatherly advice I'd like to share with every bride-to-be.
Don't get so caught up in planning the perfect wedding that you forget why you're having one.
The flowers will eventually fade. The cake will be eaten. And there will probably be something that doesn't go exactly as planned.
That's okay.
Years from now, you probably won't remember every little detail.
But you'll remember the look on your husband's face when he first saw you.
You'll remember your dad holding your arm as you walked down the aisle.
You'll remember the laughter, the hugs, and the people who came because they love you.
So here's my advice.
Spend less time worrying about impressing your guests, and more time thinking about how you'll make them feel.
And when the big day finally arrives, slow down. Look around. Take it all in.
Because the wedding is just one day.
The marriage is the adventure of a lifetime.
After 42 years of marriage and the privilege of watching so many couples begin their lives together, I've come to believe something.
The most beautiful weddings aren't necessarily the most elaborate. They're the ones where love is felt in every corner.
And that's something no amount of money can buy.
Just a little fatherly advice from a dad who still treasures that dance with his daughter.
