Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to inform you that the 65th Acoustic Emission Working Group (AEWG) meeting will be held in Chicago from May 13 to May 15, 2025. The AEWG meetings provide a platform for researchers and practitioners in the field of AE to exchange ideas, discuss the latest developments, and foster collaborations. The meeting will feature keynote presentations, technical sessions, panels, vendor presentations and networking opportunities.
Location
The venue is University of Illinois Chicago. More details will be provided at the AEWG web page: http://www.aewg.org/.
Abstract Submission
The abstract submission deadline is February 28, 2025. Please send your abstract to [email protected].
Adrian Po***ck Student Award
Students are encouraged to submit their extended abstracts for the Adrian Po***ck Student Award. Deadline for submission is February 28, 2025. The format and submission details are
• M.S. or Ph.D. students from any college or university are invited to apply.
• The student must be the sole author.
• The extended abstract has 1200-word limit.
o The submissions will have a word count of 700-1200.
o The title block (title, author’s name and contact information, advisor’s name) does not count against the word limit.
o The references/literature cited list does not count against the word limit. (However, please try to keep your reference list concise – don’t make the reviewers check 30 references for a 3-page extended abstract).
o Everything else, including captions, will be counted.

The Acoustic Emission Working Group (AEWG) is a non-profit organization created and run to promote discussion and discourse in the field of Acoustic Emission (AE). The primary forum for discussion is the AEWG meeting, currently held annually.
