It's never to early to start planning for the yearly FH 50 ride on Saturday August 3rd 2024. We will launch from the Community Park at 10:00 AM and return to live music, food and beer ! This is a 50 mile ride and not a race. Save the date.

We will once again ride the Firehouse 50 route on the Saturday of the traditional FH 50 weekend. The ride is scheduled to depart from the Grand View park on Saturday Aug 6th at 10:00 and returning around 1:00 for beers and brats !

It is with a heavy heart, that the decision has been made to discontinue the Grand View Firehouse 50.

From its humble beginnings of stopwatches on the back of a pickup truck to a 3 day, all-inclusive event...the Firehouse 50 was something very special.

Three generations of Grand View-ites volunteered ENDLESS hours to the success of this event. It is a testament to the dedication of a community to support its Volunteer Fire Department.

It was a right-of-passage to earn your Support Shirt and folks wore it with pride!

The firehouse50.org website will remain active so folks can view the thousands of photos stored there.

The Firehouse 50 Committee would like to thank every biker, runner, spectator, musician, and THOUSANDS of VOLUNTEERS for their undying support for over 45 years.

Don't be sad because it's over...
Smile because it happened.

I just received this message from Melissa and it looks like there will be a ride on the Ride The Divide route as well.

There will be a social Ride the Divide ride on Sunday, August 1st, starting at 9:00 AM. We will be departing from the Grand View Ball Park. Feel free to ride together as a group, partner up with someone, or just ride the course at your own pace. What you do is up to you! If it rains or there is bad weather that morning, it is completely up to you if you want to participate. This is an unofficial ride and is not an official Firehouse 50 sponsored event, and it is just for fun! This ride will not be supported (i.e. no sweepers, medics, flaggers, aid stations, etc.) and the course will not be marked off. Just like the FH 50 social ride, this is more of a gathering of local bikers inviting others to ride the route on Sunday, August 1st, and to enjoy the music, food and beer in the park afterwards.

A bit of clarification on the FH 50 Route Social Ride on Sunday August 1st. This is not an official Firehouse 50 sponsored event. It is more of a gathering of local bikers inviting others to ride the route on Sunday Aug 1st and to enjoy the music, food and beer in the park afterwards.

We have received messages asking is this a rain or shine event? That decision is yours, Is it a no drop ride? No promises there, so make sure that you have a riding partner. Will there be a Ride The Divide option? Nothing set in stone but if anyone wants to ride that route, go for it. Will there be aid stations or course markings? Sorry but no.

In an effort to keep the spirit of the Firehouse 50 alive until we can once again race in 2022, we hope you will join us on August 1st.

As you all know, the 2021 Firehouse 50 had to be cancelled due to road construction on County Road M. But with a delay in the start of construction , the road now remains open ! There will be a social FH 50 ride on Sunday Aug 1st departing from the pavilion by the firehall at 10:00 AM. Join us for the ride as well as the Grand View Community Picnic on Sunday afternoon. There will be music in the park, food and beer served up from Noon till 4:00.

This is the first major update to the map since the site launched in 2014. It uses more modern mapping software with smoother and faster interactions, better routing, hover effects, and a generally superior experience.
