You can't win them all.
Seeing the scale of Food Truck Fridays now after 10 years it is easy to forget that all of it is hosted, organized and ran by one person. One person with a crazy brain and amazingly supportive wife & family. Hosting events in today's world is incredibly expensive, unfortunately that means a very short window to see a return. Things have to be a success of some degree right out of the gate or they turn into huge losses. Not just for yourself but for all the small businesses that are counting on you.
We created Food Truck Fridays as a way to help our community thrive by keeping dollars local, bringing neighbors together, & celebrating the amazing, talented people that have started businesses within our community. Perhaps we were overly ambitious this year as we wanted to expand the amazing atmosphere that was Food Truck Friday into other days of the week and other events. We knew as this season was approaching that we had an uphill challenge to hosting so many new events. We still believe they had potential, unfortunately what came to pass proved different. Getting the word out about our new events proved more of a challenge than we anticipated with a news cycle being dominated by large scale venues. Small community events just don't hold the headlines as well.
Sadly we have had to cancel the remaining dates of our Truckin' Taco Tuesday events, and our Grand Food Truck Championship event in September. Food Truck Fridays is continuing to hold strong this season and will continue every Friday until Aug 14th. We really thought that Taco Tuesday in particular would be something special, sadly attendance told us: we can't win them all.
Thank you again to everyone that has been a supporter of any & all of our events over the years and we hope to continue to see you at Food Truck Fridays.

Plus beer tent, artisan vendors and live music going all day.
