Cyclist are obsessed these days with marginal gains, focusing on things like aero socks, chain wax and finding the fastest seat post, but often overlooked large gains that can be found with some outside of the box thinking. Thank you to everyone who took part in this year's Gunflint Scramble. What a day! The great racing, the wonderful campfire, the packed breakfast, the friendly people and dedicated volunteers, I loved every part of the weekend. Thanks again to the riders for being willing to take a chance on our little race, and to push themselves on such a challenging course.

Bike not working perfectly on race day? This year we are excited to be able to offer a support mechanic the morning of race day. We won’t go into their bike wrenching past, but let’s just say they are more than qualified to work on your bike. For those of you with issues on the trail, we’ll have a supply of tubes and a pump at the aid station courtesy of Northern Goods . And if all else fails, we will have the pictured neural support bike available to anyone who needs it!
