Beautiful folk arts & crafts, 2 days of musical entertainment, delicious foods and cultural exhibits...all surrounded by gorgeous woods and water! The Grand Lake Stream Folk Art Festival is held on the ballfield in "downtown" Grand Lake Stream, in Downeast Maine. More than 50 artisans display—and often demonstrate—their hand-crafted works under tents; there's continuous folk, Celtic, and bluegrass
music; special displays that include quilts and Grand Laker canoes, and educational exhibits; plentiful food and fun. Kids have room to run across the grassy fields; (leashed) dogs have room to roll. The festival is produced by Bill and Cathy Shamel, Sophie Melanson, and a committee of local folks and some "from away" who love living and playing in Grand Lake Stream!
