Jesus Christ Taxi Driver
Somewhere between the violent rock and roll of Jon Spencer, the sophisticated rhythms of Ali Farka Toure, and the religious disorientation of Jean Meslier, Jesus Christ Taxi Driver makes joyfully irreverent noise. Taking aim at daily banal agonies, and existential uncertainty, the moods shift from meditative to unhinged. The music takes risks.

Whether it’s due to their years as touring musicians, gradually honed songwriting and stylistic ambitions from scrappy, garage-y roots, or some combination of all of the above, Social Cinema makes an immediate impression with seasoned beyond their years songwriting chops and a road-hardened work ethic and resolve to match.

She takes rad photos, holds it down at the door, and is always willing to jump in and help when someone needs it. She’s dependable, kind, and genuinely great to work with. She’s also someone I’m really happy to see building something of her own.

Makayla recently launched her photography business, ( Makayla )and she’s offering a really cool special for local families who might not otherwise be able to afford senior photos:

“Senior year is a pivotal moment. Senior photos are a way to capture and hold onto that brief moment of life. Not every family can afford senior photos, but every family deserves to have those memories captured.

$40 Senior mini sessions for local families. You will receive 10 edited photos in a digital album, along with the rights to print and download them.
