Well now that we've had some time to wind down, get back home, and decompress post games, we want to extend a thank you to everyone who came out to the 2026 NoDak Games! This was our second largest athletes field since our first year and certainly was one of our favorite games we've put on so far!

Thank you to all of the athletes who came out on a slightly chilly and damp day to throw with us, you're all awesome and put on a fantastic show for the crowd! Scores will be posted to HeavyAthlete.com sometime this week.

Thank you to all of our volunteers for their help with check in, judging, marking, taking photos for our IG story, score keeping, and so much more. You all make running this games a breeze, I'd hate to think of what we'd do if we didn't have so many awesome people to aid us in putting the games on.

Finally, as we said throughout the day, next year is going to be the 10th annual NoDak Games and we are so excited about it! We are already at work trying to figure out different things that we can do next year to celebrate this milestone. If anyone has ideas or suggestions, please let us know and we will take them into consideration!

Registration for the 2026 NoDak Highland Games is now LIVE!

If you want a competition shirt, make sure you get signed up by Friday May 1st!

The final day to register for the games is Saturday May 16th!

The games will be held on Saturday May 23 this year at Ben Franklin Park in Grand Forks!

Like last year, we plan to hold a familiarization session the night before from 4-5pm at the field for new athletes to get a crash course on the events before the games the next day. Following this session, Alex and Julia have graciously offered to host a BBQ again this year for anyone who is around the night before the games. More details to come about this as we get closer to games day. A google form will be emailed to all athletes regarding this so they know how many to expect and prepare for.

Ben and I are looking forward to seeing everyone again this year and we hope that your training has been going well in the off season!

Ben and I want so send out a HUGE thank you to everyone who showed up to compete in and help out at this year's NoDak Games! It was one of the best turn outs we've had in the recent years. It was a blast getting to throw with everyone. We hope to see you all again next year! Until then, slàinte mhath!
