Today is National Public Lands Day, and we're celebrating by revisiting one of our favorite Songscapes from a previous festival: "Make Me Light" by BEEBE. Inspired by the Green River, the lifeblood of Utah’s Flaming Gorge Reservoir and Dinosaur National Monument, it's a beautiful pairing of music and place that reminds us why these landscapes are worth protecting.

🌍 Free Film Screening at The Table Public House

Join us Friday, Sept 10th at 6 p.m. at The Table Public House for a jam-packed screening! We have 10 short films lined up, all with one big message: there are so many innovative climate solutions taking shape in communities across the world.

Expect a fun mix covering everything from aquaponics and agrivoltaics to regenerative cotton, biochar, composting, plus an animated short about 💩 that's way more entertaining than it sounds!

The CEFF Eco-Expo is designed to showcase environmental-action groups and environmentally-minded/purposed organizations and businesses as they share their ideas and wares to empower and inspire attendees.

Applications are considered on a first-come, first-serve basis and are due no later than December 15. All applicants will be notified of their status by January 8, 2027.

Past participants have included environmental non-profits, governmental agencies, providers of energy conservation and renewable energy products, green builders and contractors, organic food stores, organic farms and gardening suppliers, bicycle shops, alternative fuel vendors, local agricultural producers and more!!

Our Founder's, Shawna Crocker and Dave Steinke, have been around for every CEFF since 2005 and have helped screen over 1,000 films.

People ask them at every festival about their favorite CEFF films. Here are two films that stand out in their minds:

🎬 Green: A touching story about a female orangutan named Green, who is all alone in a world that doesn’t belong to her.

🎬 Earth Doctor In this eight-minute movie we premiered in 2019, this short youth film was made by Maui, Hawaii middle school students. The plot sees Earth visiting a doctor to diagnose her unusual symptoms. Earth is then sent to a therapist to get to the “root of the problem.”

Each year, CEFF 4 Classrooms inspires curiosity and a love of learning for more than 1,500 students, helping spark lifelong discovery through engaging, educational experiences.
