Welcome Yule! - A Midwinter Celebration returns to Beverly’s First Parish Church, 225 Cabot Street on Friday, December 20 at 7:00 PM.
Welcome Yule! celebrates the turning of the year with a delightful show filled with family friendly folklore. This festive, participatory celebration invites the audience to sing-along, laugh-along, even dance-along! The ninety-minute program of live music, songs, and stories draws on both traditional and contemporary works that celebrate Yuletide and highlight less commonly heard pieces including the Gower Wassail, The Halsway Carol, and Joy, Health, Love and Peace.
Featured musicians include Nathaniel Diamond-Jones of Medford on fiddle and Irish bouzouki; Gary Dolinsky of Danvers on guitar, Irish bouzouki, and concertina; and Rose Sheehan of Gloucester on melodeon.
Admission is $15, children 10 and under are free.
