Happy New Year from Yankee Fleet.

Thanks to all our customers and crew for a successful, safe, and fun 2025 season. The office is working on getting our 2026 season up with some trips already bookable.

Sunday 11/2 - 12 Hour Deepwater Jig

Finally got a trip in after a tough week of weather. Great weather for the day and fishing started at the tail end of slack tide in the morning with some haddock coming up and then the bite turned ON all day. A lot of po***ck, double headers, and haddock mixed in all day. Fingers crossed for some good weekend weather throughout November.

10/22/2025

Great deep water jig fishing trips over the weekend, Saturday was a non stop great bite aside from slack tide with just a few long productive stops. Sunday was steady but required some more moves to keep the bite going.

Good po***ck with a lot of double headers, a fair amount of haddock in the mix, and some big cod.

The Yankee Pearl had a great 6 pack charter on Saturday. Everybody got their cod, 10-15 haddock per person, big po***ck and cusk in the mix.

This weekend is sold out and expecting some good fishing on these trips November and into December.

The Yankee Clipper has been finding some good bites on the full day trips, we have a few more weeks of October left with 9 hour trips on the schedule after the weather breaks.

November and December the Yankee Clipper will be running 10 and 12 hour jig trips.

10/08/2025

The Deep Water Jig Trips are off to a strong start. Finding some steady po***ck bites, haddock mixed in, big reds, a few big cod, and seeing some white hake. A 42lb white hake won the pool this past Sunday.

Full Day Trips are seeing some good haddock bites with cusk and cod.

09/22/2025

The weather has been great most days and we’ve been getting plenty of trips in across all the boats. The Yankee Clipper has been finding some good cod with a 21lb cod on our marathon last week. The dogs have been extremely minimal most days with a good mix of haddock, po***ck, cusk, and cod coming up.

Captain Matt put some great customers and anglers on the white hake and po***ck in deep water jig territory during a 12 hour charter on the Yankee Pearl.

Deep Water Jig Trips start the first Sunday of October with a maximum of 36 passengers.

Off to a good start with cod being open. Fishing overall is good, dogfish have been very minimal. Haddock, po***ck, cusk, and redfish coming up in addition to cod making for a mixed bag on almost every trip the past week.

Fishing info and updates

Full Day fishing is showing some po***ck and the dogfish bite has continued to be minimal. Plenty of haddock and cusk. Cod season starts soon September 1 - end of October (cod in photo was safely released)

Half Day fishing has overall been great almost zero dogfish and recently seeing some big cusk, lots of reds, and keeper/undersized haddock. Tomorrow through Labor is our last week of Half Days everyday then some scattered weekend Half Days through the end of September.

The Yankee Star had a few special offshore research trips, and they gave us the opportunity to do a lot of scouting for overnights and deep water jig - Finn was jigging up some big white hake.

The Yankee Clipper has been busy running Full Day 9 hour trips, good fishing and minimal dogs so far this week. The anglers and crew have seem some big po***ck recently as well with cusk generally in the mix.

The Yankee Star has been delivering some productive half day trips with a mix of fish - redfish, whiting, hake, and haddock. Full day private charters have been on the schedule as well and are available to book.

The Yankee Star ran its last overnight to Platts on July 28-29. Action on the night bite and the first two stops after day light were productive. The bite was hot and cold for a few quick stops then we found the fish on the drift again yielding good bites of po***ck, cusk, and haddock.

Overnights for September are up - September 5-6 and September 26-27.

Updates on fishing -

The Yankee Clipper has been hosting a steady schedule of full day trips and marathons on Thursdays. Good numbers of keeper haddock and seeing some po***ck in the mix; some trips have a lot of cusk coming over the rail as well. The dogfish are around but Captain Rob has had some successful days keeping them light.

Half day trips are busy with some wonderful passengers on board. Lots of redfish, whiting, and some keeper haddock with an occasional po***ck on the half day grounds.

Next overnight to Platts this coming Monday is full. The Yankee Star is busy in August we MIGHT be able to add one overnight to our August schedule we will be posting 2 weekend overnights in September before the end of this month.

First tuna trip on the Yankee Pearl sailed, Captain Matt got the passengers hooked up, and during a good fight the hook straightened. Tuna trips are full except for one spot this Sunday. Adding a few tuna trips to September soon as well.

Full day fishing on the Yankee Clipper has been good, many recent days experiened anglers have been getting halfway to a limit or better. Whiting and po***ck are in the mix, we’ve seen some “baseball bat” whiting that even won the pool one day. Captain Rob is here through part of September running the Clipper.

Yankee Star is busy with half days and some private charters. Half days have been seeing good numbers of reds most days with haddock, whiting, and hake mixed

07/10/2025

Our most recent overnight went to Platts on June 30 - July 1. A lot of big haddock many in the 6-7lb range and some even bigger. Decent night bite for a few hours and the bite really turned on when the sun came up. The Yankee Star was able to drift most of the trip. Loads of cusk at first sun up that turned into a haddock frenzy. Scattered dogfish but mostly keeper fish, and we found some po***ck during the last couple hours of fishing that were coming up with the haddock.

Many anglers caught their personal best in terms of haddock size. Full coolers and bags full on top.

Next overnight is July 28/29. The fishing has been great at Platts, so the Yankee Star will be going to either Platts or Cashes based on most recent fishing intel. Departing between 600-800pm
