Pack your sense of adventure and step back in time at Pioneer Day on June 27 at The Grove National Historic Landmark! Follow your map and travel along The Grove’s trails to immerse yourself in pioneer life with hands-on activities and historical encounters.

Activities Include:
🌿Hands-on activities like candle dipping, tin punching and pioneer chores
🌿Play old-fashioned pioneer games and enjoy music from the past
🌿Meet reenactors from a Civil War-era Army Corps of Engineers and learn about their important contributions

Make sure your “road trip” includes a stop at The Archives! Pathway to a Landmark is a free exhibit that opens during Pioneer Day. Through a rich collection of authentic artifacts, hands-on activities and historic photographs, you will discover the people and pivotal moments that shaped The Grove’s legacy.

Glenview Park District Aquatics Flick Outdoor Aquatic Center has added more pre-season lap swim hours for you to enjoy!

💧 Tuesday, June 2: 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.
💧 Wednesday, June 3: 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.
💧 Thursday, June 4: 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Lap swim is included in your Park Center Health and Fitness membership (show your ID) or a daily fee of $7/$12 (resident/nonresident).

Please note, a few lanes will be reserved for staff training. Thank you for your understanding while our team prepares for opening weekend.

Monday–Friday | 8:45am–4:45pm
Starting at $20/hour (based on qualifications & experience)
