Sup Nerds! The NYC Boutique will be closed: Today, Thursday-Saturday (open for NCBD Wednesday), as we prep for some shows over the weekend and for our upcoming Summer Sale! Deliveries and scheduled appointments are still OK. Due to multiple Artist Cancellations, we will NOT be attending Philadelphia FanExpo, however, we will be hanging out at Elite Comic Expo, in our hometown, Queens, NY!

Sup Nerds! We will be taking the show on the road this weekend, Saturday 5/16 to join our family at their annual COMIC SWAP! We will be bringing some goodies, taking submissions for Services and Hanging out with our favorite Comic people! Amazing vendors, atmosphere and deals! So plan on being there and we can’t wait to see you! 🫶🏼😘

Absolute Batman #20 fiasco has some hope for some of us. We just tested one. It opened, the pages turned, there were words and pictures. A story was told, and it was pretty cool. This comic did not self-destruct after reading. I’m not letting spine ticks stop me from enjoying one of the best books I’ve read in years. Most retailers I’ve spoken to are discounting the issue, we’ll do the same. But don’t sit it out, and just think, you’ll probably only need/want to buy one. We will get through this TOGETHER!

Sup Nerds! The Absolute Batman N°20 (Barbara Gordon and Absolute Martian Manhunter) debacle has hit our location as well. 💯 SNAFU. As of now, no official word on replacements or another run. Silver-lining, if you’re interested in reading the books, they still “function”. All def worth reading…..which you should at least attempt to do, once in a while 😉

Sup Nerds! We often talk about the lack of personal interaction in the world today, especially in the Comic/Pop Culture space. So, we’ve decided to actually DO SOMETHING about it! The Spineworks NYC location will hold our first (and hopefully not last…) In-Person Swap and Mixer, at the Middle Village Boutique. The first 10 to comment, “save me a seat” will get first dibs, if they cancel, the next few will get their spot. It will be a trading event, but more of a social gathering. We can talk about pretty much anything you want except negative gossip and crybaby nonsense! Comics, movies, jobs, life in general. We need to have a sense of community, not just the label of one. So, if you’re local to the NYC area, you are welcome to join us. We will “break bread”, trade, talk and have a great time. Like civilized nerds! Hope you will join us and have a blast!
