Our 5k over all winner this year is such an impressive guy. He trains with a determined mindset I’ve never seen in an 11 year old (he was 10 at the time of our event in March). I hope to see him keep smashing his PRs & make his way to the summer Olympic 2024! Keep winning those medals Bryan!

Thank you all volunteers l that help put during the event. It takes a village to do this and many of you came through. Thank you lions club at Beck Baseball field, camp Gladiator at last 5k turn & water stop, Glen Rose Nursing & Rehab at water stop at Storiebook cafe, Junemary and her life skills class helping with packets then she came out 5am early to pull out cones before her water stop by the 10k for Half with Misty Melton & family, Jackson from GRISD started at 5am helping with cones also and water then the square with Ryder & another friend from Jr high that helped at the square (plus all three boys help put out hay & signs Thursday before), the Timmons son that helped, Emma who sung beautifully at both starts our National anthem, the GRISD NHS that help at some turns, the Girl scouts at first water stop on half, Tammy Wilson Gomez for your support helping driving cones early in morning plus to assist volunteers needs and cleanup, Rachele S & Lupe’s tennis team direct traffic, Glen Rose city with cones and help (mainly Sheldon Bybee), Somervell county police department, all the cyclist that help, the individual names are so many (the a Harte’s, the Villas, Teri Lucas, Lesley & family, Reynolds, the Cooks and I’m sure I’m missing some) and the list can go on.

Online registration is closed. But you can still come to packet pickup this evening Friday 2/23 and register (check or cash only, no cc). No registration Saturday morning unless you want to do the untimed 1 mile/5k walk (check or cash only, no cc).

Plus don’t forget to carb up at the dinner for Azlee at the citizen center.

6:00-7:45am There will also be packet pickup the morning of the race at the square at the pavilion. If you're doing the half marathon or relay and can't make it to the packet pickup the night before, you'll have to get your packet at the square then drive a couple of miles up to the starting line.

07:00 AM - Half Marathon
07:00 AM - Half Marathon Relay
08:15 AM - 5K Run/Walk
08:16 AM - 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk

9:15 am Award Ceremony starts 5k first, then the relay & half will follow.

We also will have Bib (Door) Prize raffles. Stick around for awards as we will raffle of some amazing gift certificates to bib numbers during wait: must be present to when.

Saturday morning 3/24 there will be a run, some waking, to benefit & support 3 people in our community fighting cancer. This is Glen Rose, we rise to help. Please be courteous. By law pedestrians have the right of the road. We know there is opening day of baseball at Beck baseball field but calm down you will get there. There are far worse things to worry about like having & fighting cancer. So take a moment and pray for those in need, also be thankful you are where you are at. We will will have police support and plenty volunteers to help with traffic. Thank you for you patience and the race will soon pass and you will have your day to yourself.
The 5k Run & 1 mi fun walk starts at 8:15. The half Race starts at wheeler branch at 7am but will not get to town till 8:15.
