WATKINS COLLEGE ADDS SCHOLARSHIPS TO REEL GENERATION FILM FESTIVAL!

Watkins College of Art, Design & Film is very pleased to once again partner with the Reel Generation Film Festival and present college scholarships to the winning entries in this year’s event. Watkins will give an $8,000 scholarship to the winners in both the documentary and the original short film categories and a $2,000 scholarship to the winner in the Kentucky-themed film category. In addition, it is Watkins’ policy to match any KEES award a student might be eligible to receive after high school. Since attending college out-of-state negates the student’s eligibility to receive KEES, the amount forfeited will be matched up to $2,500 per year, and would be in addition to the film festival award. All scholarships are predicated on a successful application to Watkins and are distributed over a four-year period.

A Nashville, Tennessee institution for 130 years, Watkins College of Art, Design & Film is a regionally and nationally accredited, non-profit, four-year undergraduate college of the visual arts, granting Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in film, fine art, graphic design, interior design and photography and a Bachelor of Arts in Art. For additional information about Watkins please visit www.watkins.edu.
