Congratulations, Queen Abbey!!! You continue to amaze us. In her own words, she describes her weekend at Jersey Fresh.👑

the essay topic this year at Jersey Fresh was your most memorable experience in the beef industry. i immediately knew i was going to write about the experience that has truly changed my life and myself over the past year. the only way i can put it into words is the same way i did in my essay…

“My most memorable experience so far in the beef industry has been my first Junior National Hereford Expo. I have been to various fairs, jackpots, and state shows but nothing compares to the energy, people, or experiences at Junior Nationals.

I quickly learned that Hereford Junior Nationals is not just a cattle show, but is a place where juniors with the same love and passion for the Hereford breed and community get together and do what they love while also preparing to be the next leaders in this industry. While every second of Nationals is my most memorable experience, my experiences as a delegate mean even more to me. Through this opportunity I learned more about this association but also discovered more about myself and what I want for the rest of my junior career. While talking to other delegates and candidates I found that we all shared a common drive to continue making this breed and association the best it can be for the future generations. That week showed me what my future can hold and has given me the drive to be more involved with the Junior Hereford Association and maybe one day be on the Junior board.

Trying to fit this experience into only 250 words has been a challenge. During nationals I didn't just learn various skills I can apply to my cattle but also life changing leadership and life skills that have changed my goals and life tremendously. “

these wins really do mean so much more when your the one doing the work for it.

thank you NJPHA, you guys all mean the world to me.🤍🤎

Tonight, Queen Abbey was proudly recognized by the Pocono Mountain School District board members for creating the program Advocating Through Monroe County.
Her project, created for her 4-H Clover Award, focuses on teaching youth about agriculture and the importance of understanding where our food comes from. Through education, leadership, and community involvement, Queen Abbey is helping inspire the next generation to appreciate and learn more about farming and agriculture.
We are so proud of her hard work, dedication, and passion for making a difference in our community. Congratulations, Queen Abbey, on this well-deserved recognition! 👑✨

The West End Fair royalty had a wonderful time today attending the 3rd Annual Airing of the Quilts in Palmerton! The event ran from 9 AM to 5 PM and featured a beautiful variety of quilts and vendors throughout downtown.
The girls enjoyed a special bed turning event at Hager’s Furniture, presented by Shelba Scheffner. At Palmerton High School, Sharon Gower, owner of Longarm Charm Quilting, had on display the stunning quilt she donated for the Fair Queen basket raffle this August.
Princess Falon attended in the morning before heading to American Legion 927 for bingo. Queen Abbey, Jr. Miss Queen Grace, and Jr. Miss Princess Isabella joined in for the afternoon festivities.
It was truly a beautiful day to walk around Palmerton and take in all the amazing quilts!
