TDOT has received approval to clear some of our streets! 😊 They will start clearing some tomorrow mid-morning.

City traffic court for tomorrow, January 27th is cancelled! Please call 731-787-6501 to reschedule.
Also, roads are still ice covered. It is not safe to be out on them yet. Please stay home and stay warm.

Trash Pickup will be on FRIDAY, Dec 26, 2025 due to holiday. Please remember, only the trash INSIDE the cans will be picked up. They will NOT pick up additional bags outside cans. We will not have bulk pickup this week. We will resume bulk after the new year. Have a Safe and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

Be aware! Be alert! If you receive a call from someone like this. Hang up and contact the authorities!

Someone is once again calling people saying they are with the Sheriff’s Office and telling them there is a warrant out for their arrest for missing jury duty. They further state it can be taken care of if they send money. First of all we don’t operate in this manner, second of all if you did happen to miss jury duty you would be served personally by a deputy with a show cause order with a court date, not a warrant. Some of these scammers are “spoofing” the sheriff’s office number making it appear it is legit, please don’t be fooled by this.

We will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 27-28, 2025, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Trash collection will be on a one-day delay, therefore, it will be picked up on Friday.
City Vehicle Stickers for 2026 are in and ready to be purchased. Get yours today for only $20 each until January 31.

CORRECTION- They have NOT gotten them all switched yet. It will take a week or two. However, if you do not get a blue can by November 1st, please call!! They WILL be servicing black and green cans until they get them all switched.

NOTICE- Residents of Gibson who receive garbage pickup from the Town, Republic is replacing all black cans with their Blue ones. They will NO longer be servicing Black cans!! So if you have not had yours replaced, please call City Hall at 731-787-6501 & let us know.g
