GiG '26 is just barely a month away and we are very excited about our new venue! You must be too if pre-registrations are any indication...keep 'em coming! One note for this year: If you want to come, even just to shop, you must be registered...now is the perfect opportunity to pre-register with the discount of $35/person. Why are we doing that this year? So we could lower costs for everyone attending, so we can cover other costs that are going up...veterinary bills, food, transport...all cost more now and for the large numbers of dogs we deal with on a regular basis, it becomes quite pricey. We need to fund raise year round now just to make ends meet. This event helps us do that. The other groups that are involved in this event depend on your support as well. We're all in this together. We are excited and you win! We just signed another hotel contract in Gettysburg. We have blocked up to 40 rooms at the Remembrance Inn by Choice, 871 York Road, Gettysburg...the room rates are very reasonable: $94.99/night for 3-4+ nights and $99.99/night for 1-2 nights. YAY! NO PET FEE! If you want to make a reservation, call 717-253-9047 and be sure to ask for the special GiG rate and pet fee exemption.

What else do you have to do besides watch it snow? Why not register for GiG! Registration is open and we invite you to check in now to get the Early Bird Discount (until 2/15). A couple of things you need to know about this year: (1) Yes, we are moving our venues and we think you are going to find our new "digs" to be pretty exciting; (2) We have lowered costs this year on all events! We hate that costs are up on everything so we decided to do something about it! Check out the new pricing...(3) Because we are lowering prices, we are asking that EVERYONE register; even if you are just coming in to shop...it's critical that everyone get a registration in. These donations are important to the overall event.

Happy Holidays GiGsters! Just wanted to check in. We will be opening registration as close to January 1 as possible. Yes, we have moved our venue to the World War II Museum in Gettysburg, and while it is just a little smaller, we're making it work and it's going to be awesome! We will be lowering costs this year and we are working on hotel contracts for better rates for you. Vendors are lining up for their spaces and we're working on a great line-up of speakers and socials.

As far as hotels go, note that the Country Inn & Suites is closed for renovations. I'm not sure if they will be open by April but we're trying to reach out for that information.

So far, we have 2 hotels that are working with us:

Inn at Cemetery Hill. We booked all 47 rooms at $139 (plus tax). There is a one time $50 dog fee and they have free parking and breakfast. They are right across the street from the 1863 Inn near Steinwehr Avenue. 717-334-9281 and they should be available to receive reservations now. Specify GiG to get a room.

The Quality Inn, $135 (plus tax), no dog fee, breakfast available; free parking (717) 334-1103. (NOTE: The hotel has asked me to amend this post to qualify a bit...the double rooms are $135; the king rooms are $155; and the triple rooms are $155. All are pet-friendly.) There is no actual contract with them; they wouldn't do one because they know they will sell out without one LOL). You guys "broke" their front desk this afternoon!

1863 Inn, $130/weeknight; $173 weekend night. $25/night dog fee, contract signed and open for reservations. 717-334-6211. Ask for the GiG rate as this is with a contract.

We are working on more, so stand by. We'll post them when we have the signed contracts in place (1863 Inn and the Hilton Garden Inn; and hopefully more to come).

GiG '26 is ON, and...WE ARE MOVING!
Not to worry, we are still going to be Greyhounds in GETTYSBURG, but we are changing venues. We have been invited to be at the World War II Museum! We still have lots to work out and it will be a little tighter, but it's a gorgeous place with lots of possibilities, so stand by for more details as we work it out. We will be lowering costs for our guests and vendors, and we will be working with other hotels for (hopefully) better rates. We will let you know as we go along, but for now, just know we're on it and we'll keep you posted!

Good evening greyt supporters! Nittany is in the last hours of its annual on-line fund raising event, Centre Gives, which is managed through our local community foundation. Gifts are matched and we have the opportunity to win prizes.
