We are saddened by this but grateful the contributions Bill had made to our wonderful Germantown community.

Legendary Friend Has Passed Away
On Nov. 13, 2025 Bill Gay passed peacefully into the joy of eternal life.
Bill was a special gift for the Germantown community to which he shared his time and talents for decades. He taught English at Germantown High School over 35 years and was their National Honor Society Advisor for most of his distinguished career. He touched and influenced the lives of many students as well as adults.
Bill was a lifetime member of the Germantown Historical Society, and he authored three books documenting the history of Germantown. In 2020 Bill was recognized with the Germantown Lifetime Achievement Award.
As President of GHS Bill became my go to advisor and personal friend. Bill will be greatly missed, but we know he is now enjoying eternal life even more than he enjoyed his life here on earth.

Tuesday, October 28, 4-8 PM. Roberts Frozen Custard is having a BOOSTER NIGHT for the Germantown Historical Society. Part of their proceeds, from 4 to 8 PM, will be given to the GHS as a donation to help in the restoration and remodeling of the rear entry of the Christ Church Museum of Local History. Join us for a dinner or treat at Roberts on Mequon Road, Germantown, AND help support a worthy cause to preserve Germantown's heritage. Thank You Very Much !!! 🍦🙂

We are so sad to report Shrek the Dachshund has passed away...He was at all the Dheinsville Dash as the oldest Doxie.
