Less than a week from now! Freedom Walk 2026 will be crossing over into Canada on July 1st, 2026! For more information about the walk and the crossing, visit menare.org

The team will be crossing over the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls at noon next Wednesday, July 1, with the celebration starting at 11:00. More information on the event to come!

and the Journey to Freedom statue of Harriet Tubman will cross into Canada at noon on July 1, with the celebration starting at 10:00. It is now in Buffalo/Niagara Falls, getting ready.

We are excited to share that we are hosting the traveling statue, “The Journey to Freedom” by artist Wesley Wofford until June 26th at 3pm. Depicting a fierce Harriet Tubman escorting a child to freedom, this statue represents the determination of freedom seekers on the Underground Railroad.

This statue has been following Tony Cohen on his Freedom Walk 2026, an eight week journey retracing the steps of the Underground Railroad. Check it out now before it quickly leaves for its next destination!
