Pride: Then vs Now (Friday) Twelve years ago, FLX Pride was brand new. In 2014 celebrating Pride looked like taking a hopeful step into a bright future. As a community, we didn’t know how big our annual celebration would become, or how many years we could pull it off. Now in 2026 we know that hosting Pride is more important than ever, that being visible and proud saves lives, and that inspiring our community will keep lighting our path forward.

FLX Pride is excited to share our 2026 theme: Community in Color! As we move into our 12th year, we’re taking a moment to look back at our roots and think about what we’re continuing to build together.
This year’s theme is about showing up for each other. Community care is at the heart of everything we do, and our 2026 celebration is focused on reconnecting—making space for the Finger Lakes LGBTQ+ community, our allies, and our neighbors to come together and support one another.
We’re putting out a call for all local artists to submit original work inspired by Community in Color! One piece will be selected as the official 2026 FLX Pride artwork.
Submissions are open now through April 15, 2026.
We’re accepting digital pieces in watercolor, pencil work, pen-ink and more.
The selected artist will receive a $50 commission, and FLX Pride will retain ownership of the piece to use as this year’s official artwork.

Vendors, Sponsors, Volunteers - we will be reaching out soon!

Since the first festival in 2015 those running the event have done so with community, connection, family and education in mind. Family Counseling Service of the Finger Lakes has been honored to lead the coordination of the festival for the last nine years and is excited to see the community come together in 2026 to empower the LGBTQ+ community who need a loud, united and proud voice. In partnership with Geneva Women’s Assembly and many community volunteers the festival will become a free-standing event led by LGBTQ+ community members and allies in the finger lakes.
