One of the biggest mistakes athletes make?

Emailing college coaches too early.

If you're attending a showcase, the sweet spot is usually 48 hours before the event.

Why?

Because your email is still fresh in a coach's inbox when they arrive, and they are actively building their evaluation list for the weekend.

Send it too early and it gets buried.

Send it the night before and they may never see it.

A simple email 2 days before an event can be the difference between being another jersey number and being a player a coach is specifically watching.

Recruiting isn't just about talent.

It's about timing.

Committed Games events can be a great opportunity for players who are already committed to compete against high-level talent and continue sharpening their game.

But for uncommitted players?

I still question how much true recruiting value comes from these environments.

Exposure only matters if coaches are actively recruiting YOU.

A lot of families assume being around committed players automatically increases recruiting opportunities. In reality, college coaches often attend these events already knowing exactly who they are there to watch.

That does not mean uncommitted players cannot benefit. It just means athletes and families need to understand the ROI before spending the money.

Playing next to commits does not automatically make you recruitable.

Strategy, fit, timing, and relationships still matter most.

The proposed 5-and-5 rule could completely reshape the college recruiting landscape.

And yes… this WILL impact high school athletes.

More years of eligibility could mean older rosters, fewer available spots, and increased competition at every level of college lacrosse.

Programs may become more selective with scholarships, recruiting timelines could shift, and roster management will become more competitive than ever before.

The recruiting game is changing in real time.

Most recruiting events are overcrowded. Players show up, play a few games, and leave with little real interaction or evaluation.

That’s not how we built CLE Circuit. πŸ’ŽπŸ₯

CLE Circuit is designed for serious women’s lacrosse players who want real recruiting exposure in a competitive, high-level environment.

βœ” Limited roster format
βœ” College coaches from multiple divisions
βœ” Competitive gameplay and instruction
βœ” More opportunities to be evaluated
βœ” Direct interaction with college programs

Before you spend thousands on showcases, travel, and club lacrosse… ask your daughter these 3 questions:

1. Where do you want to be geographically?
2. What academic standards are acceptable for your family?
3. What kind of college experience do you want?

Because recruiting is not just about playing college lacrosse.
It is about finding the RIGHT fit academically, socially, financially, and athletically.

The families who win the recruiting process are the ones who have a plan before they start chasing exposure.

Parents β€”

Is your daughter about to enter the recruiting process?

I know how overwhelming it can feel. You’re hearing 100 different opinions, trying to figure out what’s real, what matters, and what actually helps your athlete get recruited.

I lived this myself as a player back in 2019, so I understand the feeling of not knowing where to start.

That’s exactly why we created Florida Futures on June 3.

We’re putting players in an environment where they won’t feel like just another number. Smaller rosters. Real coaching. Real exposure. Real conversations with college coaches.

At the end of the day, every parent just wants their kid to be seen and heard.

If that sounds like what you’re looking for, we’d love to have you with us.
