Enjoy a camping weekend of Fellowship with other like minded Cyclists Riding the Red Dirt back roads of Rural Southern Alabama from our beautiful Robert Fowler Park aka “The Junction” along the 2-Rivers. Our co-host/coordinator has been notified he will be out of town for a month for his job during this time.

After much deliberation and consideration, we have decided to cancel the 2 Rivers Cycle Fest this year. Several contributing factors led us to this decision. Those factors will be addressed, and we hope to come back next year with an event as good or better than what we hoped for this year. Thank you to all who followed us, contacted us, and supported us.
If you are interested in riding any of the routes here in Geneva County, please contact me and I will ride with you on any route, paved or dirt, on any distance you would like.

We tried very hard to avoid scheduling this event on the same date as other races/rides/events. But with the piquing interest in cycling events in this country, and the desire people have to escape the restrictive demands of Covid-19 there are many events to schedule around. We decided to narrow our circle and attempt to schedule around events within 200 miles of our sweet little town. We also boosted Prize money, and offer hand made trophies; something that most other races/events don't consider. We want you to come ride and race with us. But, we also want you to come experience small town hospitality, a bit of a slower pace, and the unique chance to enjoy the Red Dirt Roads in southern Alabama.

Just before Friday's "Winner Take All the Cash Short Track Race" we will be hosting a kid's race. Our Under 12 kids race will be FREE and will race around Alabama's Oldest and Largest OAK Tree located in the park (It's hard to miss this 200 year old wonder). All of the finishers will receive a prize. The boy's and girl's winner will take home a very cool trophy.

Thursday evening we will host a "Rat Race". Based on the "Alley Cat" Race style events that 1990's New York City Bike Messengers used to create a pecking order of the best Bike Messengers, this race has no specific route.
You will be given 8 specific locations in our little town of Geneva where a volunteer will be passing out numbered cards, The first racer to one of these locations gets card #1, the second racer gets card #2, etc. All racers must get a card from all of the 8 locations. The racer who returns to "The Junction" with the lowest number total is the winner. You can go to these locations in any order you choose. The locations will be given to you 10 minutes before the race starts along with a paper map with all locations marked. You will have just over 9 minutes to study and strategize before the Rat Race starts. There will also be Bonus cards scattered around that can lower your total score...so you don't have to be the fastest racer to win the Rat Race. There will be trophies for the top 3 men and women. There will be one winner who pockets $100 cash.
