🎹 **A Legacy of Music for Generations to Come!** 🎶

We're excited to officially launch our fundraising campaign to purchase a beautiful new grand piano for the Geneseo High School Concert Hall!

For more than 40 years, our faithful Kawai grand piano has served generations of students, performers, and audiences. Now it's time to begin a new chapter with an exceptional instrument worthy of our beautiful Concert Hall—one that will inspire musicians for generations to come.

**We invite you to become part of this musical legacy by purchasing one of the piano's 88 keys!** Consider dedicating a key in honor or memory of a loved one who had a passion for music. Each donor's name will be recognized on a special commemorative display in the Performing Arts Commons.

Our goal is simple: Sell all 88 keys and help keep the music playing for generations to come!

Every key purchased brings us one step closer to making this dream a reality.

Thank you for supporting music, our students, and the performing arts in Geneseo!

For more information or to purchase a key, contact [email protected] or call (309) 945-0376.

The GHS graduation ceremony video will be fed live into the DePauw Theater today, if you would rather not be in the bleachers, but still want to be here to be a part of the celebration! It's cool.. literally. --thanks to Keith Kennett and TV50!

Big News!! The barricades came down this afternoon on Ogden Ave in front of the High School. So things are back to normal (mostly) to access and use the South parking lot here at school. North State Street is still shut down however. I will have some handicapped spaces reserved for tonight in front of the Performing Arts Center main entrance as well. Please use them if you need to.

Just 3 shows left of the GHS Spring Musical "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat". Please consider coming to the show. We opened last night and the crowd loved it. Don't be the only one of your friends who didn't see it. There are some seats left, but you probably should get your tickets soon!

I've added some extra handicapped parking right in front of our main entrance. Please use these spots if you -- or someone you know would benefit from this.

All remaining performances of the the 45th annual Madrigal are SOLD OUTCongratulations, and have a great run!

Speaking of Madrigal...We are now celebrating a third generation of GHS students participating in our cherished Madrigal tradition. While our archives don’t contain a recording of the very first Madrigal performance, we do have an excellent audio recording from 1981 — the second year of the production—as well as many others. This video is a small sample of that recording. It’s remarkable to hear which elements have evolved over time and which have remained unchanged for 45 years. Nostalgia is such a meaningful part of the holiday season, and we invite you to take a few minutes to reminisce with music from your high school days. Come listen — and show today’s students what your generation sounded like! Here is a link to the Archive folder:
