Welcome back one of our workshop teachers and this year's guest/judge !
In this hands on workshop, Tacocat will be teaching various techniques for hand embroidery including: Split stitch, chain stitch, back stitch, bullion knot, satin stitching, French knot, lazy daisy, woven wheel, and fishbone. At the end of the workshop you will get to take home your work on the embroidery stitch guide provided.

Learn the basics on making Chain-mail with Krissy.cosplays in this hands on workshop! This workshop will give attendees a hands-on class teaching them how to
how to make their own chain-mail in the European 4-in-1 chain-mail stitch. For demonstration
purposes the attendees will be making a single strip of chain-mail into a bracelet they can wear
and take home.

Welcome to our next workshop teacher !
Have you ever set something down and forgot about it? Have you ever wanted to learn leatherworking? Do you like cups? In GeekeryCosplay will be teaching a hands-on class on the basics of leatherworking covering everything from how to choose leather and tools to the basic techniques you need to start at home, and by the end of this
class you will have your very own mug frog to take home. Great for renaissance festivals, cons, or any
place you want to carry your own cup or bottle.

We would like to welcome and announce our first workshop teacher !

Saru will go over a variety of drama/acting warmups and games, while explaining the skills those games help teach and how they can be applied to cosplay performances. Finally everyone will split into pairs to write and prepare their madlib scenes, and if everyone is consenting a few of the groups may perform their scenes for the class!

This workshop will teach the basics and foundational elements of acting, blocking, writing scripts, and working together.

🌟It's time to announce our Local Cosplay Guest Spotlight, !🌟
Jess, also known as Yettie Cosplay, is an award-winning costumer and professional seamstress based in Houston, TX. She brings over 20 years of experience, including 11 professionally, and holds a BFA in Costuming for Theatre from SHSU.

Her prestigious awards include Best in Show, Best in Masters, and the C2E2 Crown Championship 2024 Best in Needlework award.

Jess thrives on creating intricate cosplays—the bigger and bolder, the better! She is constantly mastering new skills, from foam smithing to tambour embroidery, with every project. After years of professional work for others, cosplaying is her chance to indulge her own craft. She aims to share her expertise to help cosplayers of all skill levels realize their creative dreams.

Hey ya’ll! I’m Sam Sligh III, better known as Slyakagreyfox on Twitch.tv! My channel is known as the Velvet Room (the same from Persona fame); one of the chillest places on Twitch AND I CHALLENGE YOU TO FIND ANOTHER! I play a variety of games including Final Fantasy XIV, the Persona series, the Danganronpa series, and a lot more. I also co-host “State of the Realm,” a weekly Final Fantasy XIV podcast. We have a pretty awesome community in the Velvet Room and they’ve been with me from the beginning of my journey on Twitch. So I’m here to share my experience on Twitch to any who were curious about streaming, don’t know much about streaming, or already know about Twitch!
