Captain Kid's Triathlon

Captain Kid's Triathlon Join the Captain for a fun pirate themed triathlon in the beautiful Moody Gardens resort! Come for race day, or stay at the hotel for a weekend getaway!

Athletes ages 6-16 will swim in the lazy river, bike through the resort, run through the tropical gardens, and finish with a party in the waterpark. Join the Captain for a pirate themed race in the Moody Gardens resort - perfect for family and team bonding! Athletes ages 6-15 will swim in the lazy river, bike through the resort, run through the tropical gardens, and finish it off with a party in the waterpark for the entire family. All ability and experience levels are welcome and encouraged - from experienced triathletes to triathlon newbies.

Race day wouldn’t be the same without our Deckhands, and there are plenty of ways to jump in and be part of the fun on September 13!

Parents, grandparents, older siblings, school groups, teams, community groups and friends all make fantastic Deckhands. Come help our young pirates swim, bike, run and celebrate their way to the finish line!

We have volunteer spots throughout race weekend, including swim, bike, run, transition, finisher medals, packet pickup, post-race food and more. Whether you can help for a few hours or want to be right in the middle of the race-day action, there’s a spot for you.
