What started as a fundraiser for a political campaign, has turned into a premier fishing tournament! Former Galveston County Commissioner, Pct. 1, Patrick F.

What started as a fundraiser for a political campaign has turned into a premier fishing tournament and is now giving back to the community. Doyle started this tournament in 2004 after being elected to the Galveston County Commissioners Court. Several years ago, he created a non-profit organization called Galveston County Senior Citizens Activities, Inc. to raise money to purchase a bus for the sen

ior citizens in Galveston County. It was to be available for social outings and even emergency evacuations. Through this tournament and other fundraising, the bus was purchased and given to Galveston County. In the years since the purchase, funds have been given to other local non-profits. For the last few years, the net proceeds of this event have been going to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America.
