Acoustic Music Showcase: Sarah Golden and Susan Gibson will perform Saturday as part of the Galveston Folk Family Concerts series.

Susan Gibson wrote "Wide Open Spaces" which The Chicks recorded and it was a #1 hit, and the album with the same name won a Grammy.

Sarah Golden is a top-30 finalist on Season 2 of NBC's The Voice on Team CeeLo Green, and a top-100 finalist on Season 4 of America's Got Talent, Golden has gone on to earn multiple awards, including Best of North America - Folk in the 2025 Intercontinental Music Awards for her co-write with Nathan K. on "Who is Gonna Rebuild LA?", Best Folk Song for "The One I Love". She has also sang the national anthem at the Astros game 6 times.

We also need a few volunteers for setup (5-6), admission table (6-7:30) and clean up (after for 30-60 minutes) as well as donations of finger foods. Please email [email protected] if you can help.

Doors open at 6 pm. We will have some finger foods, desserts, and drinks available for donation. Feel free to BYOB or bring food to share. Suggested donation is $25 ($20 students/seniors) at the door by cash or electronic payment directly to Wes Collins the night of the concert. We do not presell tickets.
