Galva Freedom Fest is looking for Mr. and Miss Little Firecracker 2026!!
Please note: This contest is open to 4-8 year old's who live within the Galva school district ONLY. (Must be 4-8 on the 4th of July)

Entry forms can be sent electronically if you wish to submit online using the following link https://forms.gle/4hp6fcYKAieasBhX6 , otherwise, you can pick up and submit entry forms at the Galva Public Library or at Galva City Hall.
Better hurry!! Entries are due no later than 4:30pm on Friday, June 5th!

In keeping with tradition, we annually choose a deserving citizen to lead the Galva Freedom Fest parade as Grand Marshal, and in this significant 250th year of American celebration, we proudly announce Galva's own Aaron Kewish for his outstanding contributions.
Aaron's passion for restoration, preservation, and new beginnings is a beacon of hope and renewal. His dedication to celebrating Galva's history and his appreciation for the community are evident in all his endeavors. Through his kindness and generosity, Aaron brings positive attention to our town, inspiring others with his spirit. Melissa, our committee chair, aptly recalls Aaron's sincere expression of gratitude for second chances, reflecting his humility and genuine nature. Aaron, your perseverance and commitment to our community have not gone unnoticed, and we are grateful for your presence.

Stay tuned for more information on our 4th of July celebrations this year. We have an exciting fireworks and laser light show planned for July 4th, you will not want to miss it!!

Our first Murder Mystery Dinner fundraiser proved to be a huge success, thanks to the outstanding contributions from Die Laughing Entertainment - Murder Mystery Dinners and Comedy and The East End Table and Tap. We are already planning to host this event again!! Diane Hopping was congratulated for correctly identifying the suspect and winning a gift from Die Laughing Entertainment in their drawing.

We are incredibly grateful to announce that Galva Freedom Fest has received a generous donation of $12,500 from BHE Renewables Foundation in support of our celebration of 250 years of the United States of America this 4th of July! 🇺🇸

This meaningful contribution is helping us create an exciting and memorable fireworks show for our community—one that truly honors this historic milestone in our nation’s history. Because of this support, we’re able to take this year’s celebration to a whole new level and light up the sky like never before.

License to Grill 'N Kill...ooooOOOOOOoooo! Come join us for dinner, drinks, and a night of MYSTERY while we raise money for the 250th Celebration of America! We are adding something new and exciting to our fireworks show this year!

Ticket price includes a backyard barbeque themed meal, drink, and a comedic murder mystery put on by Die Laughing Entertainment.
