High Country Lights

High Country Lights One quarter of a million lights illuminate the sky in Downtown Galax, Virginia. Admission is free.

High Country Lights, located at Felts Park, is a holiday spectacular you'd bring the family to and watch for hours. It's an animated display where more than 200K lights are choreographed to Christmas music. Tune the radio to 95.9FM and relax in the comfort of your vehicle or hike around the walking trail and listen to the music. The show operates nightly from Thanksgiving through New Year’s Day with the exception during inclement weather.

We’d hope not to have another memorial tree at the light show this year. However… that all changed due to the tragic events this past weekend.

Carroll County Sheriff's Office Deputy Logan Utt’s memory will be kept alive when we open for the season on Thanksgiving night. A Christmas tree will be decorated in his honor for the service to many communities and our nation.
