Only four openings remain in our "Urban Sketching in the Kentlands" class! Enjoy the fresh air, idyllic sights, and picturesque spots around the Arts Barn in the Kentlands neighborhood.

Saturdays, 1-3 PM, beginning September 19. Find this and many other classes for adults and children at https://gburg.md/ABclasses. Please Note: This class is an independent, urban sketching class. Participants should be prepared to walk, carry their own supplies, and set up their outdoor-sketching space on their own. This is not an indoor class.

• Donations Drop-Off: Support our local teachers by bringing new school supplies—pencils, pens, binders, notebooks, glue sticks, clear backpacks, and more!
• "Pull Up a Chair: A Seated Perspective": Sit, explore, and enjoy a gallery where every piece is both art and a functional chair.
• The Shop: Discover unique, handmade items from local artisans.
• Season Preview: Explore upcoming classes, concerts, theatre, and special events.
• The Arts Bar(n): Relax with b**r and w**e in our newly activated Alley. 🍷

🏛️ At Kentlands Mansion
• Montgomery Art Association's “A Closer Look”: Tour a beautiful juried exhibit by regional artists.
• Season Preview: Hear what’s ahead for classes, workshops, and family programs.
• Face Painting: Fun designs for kids of all ages!
• Kids Craft: Create a cozy fall‑themed craft to take home. 🍁
• Live Music: Enjoy Donuts for Dinner from the Canopy Porch, sponsored by Bella Ballet.
• Permanent Jewelry: Honey Haus Jewelry will be on-site with special pieces available for purchase.

🌤️ Outside on Kentlands Green & Selby Street
• Lawn Games: Friendly competition and lots of laughs!
• Food Trucks: Grab Catalyst Hot Dogs or cool off with Kona Ice. 🌭🍧

New Open Call TO ARTISTS: Arts Barn Holiday Artisan Market!

The Arts Barn Holiday Artisan Market will take place on Sunday, November 22, 2026 from 10 AM- 4PM. This application is open to artists who reside in the DMV (DC, Maryland, and Virginia).

This is an opportunity for residents of Gaithersburg and surrounding communities to buy one of a kind, handmade items made by local artists. This event also gives artists an opportunity to meet patrons and discuss their creative processes for making their artwork.

Come check out the new exhibit at the Arts Barn!

While we're working on a complete theater transformation upstairs - and painting and putting up new shelving downstairs - you may still come in to see this delightful exhibit Tuesday - Saturday, 1-5 PM. "Pull Up a Chair: Tell Me A Story" is designed to initiate dialogue between the artist and the viewer - visitors have been delighted!
