Friends,
It is with mixed emotions that Pritchard Festival Productions announces that, due to a lack of underwriting sponsorship, The Main Street Music Festival will consist of two free concerts in 2014. We will be presenting our traditional "Kick-off the Independence Day Week" concert on June 26th featuring the United States Navy Brass Quintet and the Kentlands25 concert on August 7th celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Kentlands.
We would like to thank our local sponsors; The City of Gaithersburg, Mike Aubrey & Associates, Pritchard Music Kentlands, Chick-fil-a Kentlands, Kentlands Downtown Partnership, Oculus Realty, The Kentlands Lebanese Bistro, Corbin Creative Databases, Stiles Dentistry and Eastman Strings.
Without underwriting sponsors it is impossible to commit to a seven or eight concert series of the quality that the Kentlands neighborhood deserves. We will make every effort to be back next year with a full slate of free shows at the level that has come to be associated with The Main Street Music Festival.
The Main Street Music Festival, a presentation of Pritchard Festival Productions, LLC, debuted in 2010 and has brought the likes of The Nighthawks, Tom Principato, Ruthie and The Wranglers, Vickie Genfan, The Eastman String Band, The Bad Influence Band, Janine Gilbert Carter, various military ensembles and many others. The free and open to the public concerts are normally presented over seven to eight weeks from June to August at The Main Street Pavilion Park in Gaithersburg, Maryland. PFProductions also produces the Gaithersburg Blues Festival and the Gaithersburg Bluegrass Festival in September at the City Hall Pavilion in the Olde Towne neighborhood of Gaithersburg.
