The region’s longest-running and largest free outdoor concert series features local and regional musical talent at the newly renovated Bo Diddley Plaza. Running from May through October, our concerts under the stars showcase diverse musical acts sure to delight music lovers with classic rock, reggae, R & B, soul, ska, funk, blues, and more. Each Friday night from 8-10 features a new band that brings their original and cover tunes to our Plaza concert stage.

Our Story

In April of 2020, it became clear that we weren’t going to be able to hold our Free Fridays Concert Series for at least part of the upcoming season. We created Gainesville LIVE! as an online livestream spin-off, featuring Free Fridays alums plus newcomers in exciting performances that are broadcast every Friday night at 8 PM EDT. Gainesville LIVE! brings the music home in a new platform that makes a meaningful connection to the viewer at home, as if the show were being played just for you. Join us for a wide range of music that includes rock, pop, soul, R & B, opera, Broadway and more from old faves and new friends. We are proud to have such a talented community of dedicated performers and fans. Thank you!
