There have been many concerns about "changes" for First Friday. Most of these have been on our website since the inception. (https://downtowngadsden.com/whats-happening/first-fridays/first-friday-guidelines/) With the growth of the event, this has become much more important.

For many years, we have had cars parking in the middle of Broad Street before the streets are closed. This is dangerous for the cars still traveling the street as well as those parking. That is the reason for not allowing parking in the middle of the street prior to 3:30. You can continue to park in regulation spots and eat and shop at 2:00!

We want to keep everyone safe and we are not making changes for the sake of making changes. We appreciate the support of the classic cars and everyone who has come out to enjoy our beautiful downtown!
