Exciting News!!
Fulton recently put in for a grant through the Lower Colorado River Authority. We are happy to announce that we were selected and awarded a $25,000 grant! This money along with money from proceeds of Oysterfest will allow us to purchase a new 6x6 Can Am off road utility vehicle. It will be equipped with emergency lighting, radio, a skid unit with 100 gallons of water and 5 gallons of foam, pump and hose reel. It will also be equipped with stokes basket in the event it’s needed for a medical emergency. We truly appreciate the generosity of LCRA and their grant team for selecting Fulton VFD! Grants like these help us take money raised from donations and events like Fulton Oysterfest and spread them out further for more equipment!! Thank you to everyone!
We would like to also thank those helping make this project come to fruition, El Campo Cycle Center and Rowe Cafs LLC and LCRA!
Total Project costs will be approximately $60,000. This will include the purchase of the UTV with extra skid plates and Kevlar tires. The skid unit, emergency lighting, radio plus installation along with a dedicated trailer purchase.
