Remember the start of Disneyland.com?! Well Doug does, and he is looking back at the Disneyland website in 1996! Yes – 1996 was 30 years ago believe it or not!

There is ongoing construction in the northwest end of Main Street from Carnation Café to Refreshment Corner (aka Coke Corner.) There are scrims and scaffolding up and down that side of Main Street.

When the winds pick up as they have the last few days, the scrims are rolled up. As a result, a sign that has not been seen publicly since around 1997 was revealed. Who remembers the old Carnation Company sign outside of Carnation Café? Carnation was an early sponsor of Disneyland, and was so for many years. While the sponsorship has ended, the Carnation name is still used.

Nestle, however, bought Carnation Company in 2003. Nestle products are served in the Disney Parks so even though Carnation might not exist as we used to know it in the Parks, the Carnation name is still out there.
