😂🦆 Well… we learned a few things.

Our FIRST ANNUAL Fruitland Fun Day Fire Hose Duck Race is officially in the books, and we’ll just say there was definitely a learning curve. 😂

Turns out getting a bunch of tiny rubber ducks to cooperate with a FIRE HOSE is not quite as simple as it sounds. 💦🚒 Some ducks raced. Some ducks went rogue. Some may have reconsidered all of their life choices. And the humans running it? We learned A LOT. 🤣

But honestly… WE HAD A BLAST! The kids had fun, everyone got a little wet, and we now have approximately 365 days to perfect our duck-racing techniques. 😂

A huge thank you to the Fruitland Fire Department for rolling with the crazy idea and helping make it happen! ❤️🚒

We’re already looking forward to Fire Hose Duck Race 2.0 next year …bigger, better, and hopefully with slightly more cooperative ducks. 🦆💦🏁

🍉 FRUITLAND FUN DAY IS ALMOST HERE! 🍉

This Saturday, September 12th, Fruitland is the place to be! We’ve packed the ENTIRE day with food, family fun, shopping, music, games, and plenty of small-town fun! 🎉

🥞 Start the morning with the Fruitland Fire Dept. Pancake Breakfast at 7AM, then hit the 5K Walk/Run at 8AM! From there, the fun just keeps going with the parade, Makers Market, 18th Annual Car Show, Kids’ Zone, BINGO, Hot Dog Eating Contest, Fire Hose Duck Race, and Family Foam Party!

🎶 PLUS — enjoy LIVE MUSIC all day with Hepkat, Chuck Murphy & Crazy Ex! Bring those lawn chairs and hang out with us! The Fruitland VOLUNTEER Fire Dept will be slinging drinks and selling hotdogs so be sure to support them.

🏈 And we’re not stopping when the afternoon ends! Stick around for the Iowa vs. Iowa State Tailgate at 6:30PM on the HUGE 98” TV! Food, drinks, football, and fun for Hawkeye AND Cyclone fans!

🌭 Come hungry because we’ll have some awesome food vendors ready to keep you fueled throughout the day.

Kick off the afternoon with The Hepkat and a great mix of tunes to set the vibe while you grab some food, drinks and enjoy everything Fruitland Fun Day has to offer!

🎤 3–7 PM | Chuck Murphy
Chuck Murphy takes over for the afternoon with live music perfect for kicking back, hanging out with friends and enjoying a cold drink. 🍻

Then we’re turning it up! Crazy Ex will close out the night with a high-energy mix of rock and crowd favorites that’ll have you singing along and ready to dance! 🤘🎸
