Directly behind us is Lake Dillon. You would never know it due to the massive drought we are in in the Rockies. 😬 You can walk almost all the way across the lake bed right now.

A letter from Alpine Ski Coach Greg Leeds:

Greetings, Alpine Ski Team Friends!

NMH Gives, on Thursday, February 26, is an annual, single-day fundraising event where donors can give directly to teams.

These funds are so crucial to our operations, supporting things such as equipment & tuning supplies, training fees at Berkshire East, team expenses at races, professional photography, our new timing system, bibs, gates, and the list goes on and on. We recently completed a major upgrade to our team locker rooms and tuning area, thanks to the generosity of team supporters. Among major upcoming needs are a full set of new speed racing suits as our old ones are nearly ten years old.

We have been able to do so much more than would have been possible because of the generosity of parents, alumni, and friends of the program over the past several years. In the five years of NMH Gives, the alpine team has consistently been among the top few teams at NMH in terms of fundraising support and success.

Please join us in this quest, and bring along a relative or friend or two, or more!

To ensure your gift goes directly to the Alpine Team, go to the NMH Gives website on Thursday, February 26, click on “Give Now,” and follow the prompts.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Your support makes a huge difference to the NMH Alpine Ski Team members today and tomorrow, and helps us to continue to be one of the very best and most successful programs in New England!

I think this may be the last post of the ski season unless anyone has some photos to send me for posting.
Lance Maclean ‘72 and I have been trying to connect for the last month here in CO. He comes out from OH for a month or so every spring to ski the EPIC Pass mountains in my area.
Today we finally connected. It was super cold for April with poor light but the snow conditions were amazing. Kinda a powder day
No chair lift photo because it was too dang cold to pull out my phone We settled for a quick one in a warming hut.
Since ski season is almost over it is time for biking…. Check out the NMH Pie Ride page and join us for the Pie ride at reunion in June. You do not need to be reunioning but you do need to register for the ride. You can register through the NMH website in the Reunion related tab.
We rep NMH really well! 😊

One of my favorite outcomes of NMH Ski Days is when alumni connect again to ski together somewhere else.
Rob Hodgkins ‘83 and Maia Beh ‘98 connected at our Okemo Ski Day then again at Jay Peak last Friday where Rob works.
From Maia:
“ Hi Sally, we had a beautiful first experience at Jay Peak this past Friday with Rob Hodgkins as our guide!”
Love it!
Happy Spring!
