Once again, Central Valley Guitar Summit at Fresno City College was a vibrant, inspiring success! Anyone who supports guitar education in California's Central Valley was reminded about the worth and beauty of the art form. Congratulations to all of the student performers and their hard working teachers! Congratulations, too, to the winners! Large ensembles, small ensembles, middle schools, high schools, soloists, and now Sierreño groups all competed. Performers enjoyed expert adjudication from our judges Scott Wolf (Oxnard College) and David Isaacs (CSU Dominguez Hills). In the evening, the event culminated with an inspiring public concert by the brilliant Yuri Liberzon, guitarist. He played some favorite classical guitar masterpieces and several works from his recent Piazzolla recordings. Gottschalk Music Center and Jeremy Bergmann sponsored and participated in the event making it extra special. Thank you to all who made it possible!
