Newaygo County Fair Rabbits

Just a reminder.... rabbits can be entered the day of the show but if you plan on entering showmanship, you will need to pre-register by January 14th! This is a great way to practice and get feedback from some different judges.

A chance to show your rabbits three times in one weekend, twice on Saturday and once on Sunday at the MSU Pavilion in East Lansing. Entries must be completed on easy2show.com by Thursday, Nov 20 at 9:00pm.

Thank you everyone for showing up and getting your bunnies on time and cleaning your cages! I think we had a great fair. Thanks for being ready to show and having your rabbits ready to go, I know it was a long day of showing but you all did a great job keeping it moving. Feel free to share any rabbit department pictures you took this week!

A big thank you goes to TSC, the Fremont location, for donating pine shavings for our small animals to use to keep cages clean during fair week!

A big "Thank You" goes out to the Muskegon County Fair for letting us use some of their cages so that all our rabbits could be housed at fair this week. Our entry numbers went way up this year and we were 70 cages short of what we needed. They heard about our need and very generously offered to let us use their cages for the week! Thank you, Muskegon County Fair rabbit superintendents and fair board!!

I'm getting so excited to see you and your rabbits, it's almost fair time! I just wanted to remind you of a few things that you will need for check-in on Saturday morning. Being prepared will help us keep check-in moving along and ensure that you are allowed to bring your rabbits at fair. Please bring the following:
-Your healthy rabbit(s)
-A completed MDARD form for each rabbit
-A completed emergency contact card for each rabbit
-$1 per rabbit cage fee
-A feed and water dish/bottle per rabbit

If possible, please have these completed ahead of time. Your rabbit can not enter the barn without it and I will not be able to check you in.

I have picked up the borrowed cages from Muskegon County Fair and we need to get them set up. If you'd like to help, I will plan on being out at the fairgrounds tomorrow evening - Monday, July 28th at 6:00pm. If you are still looking to get some fair volunteer hours, this is another way to get them! Picture is of what we need to put together, 4 of these :)

I will be at the rabbit barn this Friday, the 18th at 10:00 am to do a couple tattoos. If you are still needing to have any rabbits tattooed and want to meet us there, I can add you in. Just show up!
