FSC- Player of the Match -Sunday, March 29
Boys 2010- Murphy Flynn
Murphy earns Player of the Game honors after a standout performance in our 3-2 win, delivering a superb hat trick while showcasing incredible versatility across the pitch. Each of his three goals highlighted a different trait of a complete player — a calm and clinical finish, a powerful effort driven by determination, and a smartly timed run with excellent awareness to find space. Beyond the goals, Murphy stepped into multiple midfield roles, helping control the tempo and link play before pushing forward to excel as a striker. A true all-around display that made the difference.
Boys 2012- Austin Cammarata
He played an excellent game for us at center back. He won every ball and covered our entire half of the pitch. He was very calm on the ball as well, dribbling out of the back and connecting passes up field.
Boys 2014 - Kingston Kesmetis
After a winter of technical training and highlighting our need to be composed and thoughtful about our decisions and passes, Kingston has continued his steady improvement. On this day he consistently gave the team a wide option, used his skills to be dangerous, and made good decisions. That he scored the goal was a fitting reward for his efforts!
Boys 2015 - Calder Guellnitz
Calder played all over the field yesterday; outside back, center back and striker and spent a lot of time in midfield. He had great communication in the back, defended tenaciously and had two nice goals! The first goal came after the defender was holding onto him (twice!) but Calder kept his cool, didn’t complain to the ref and kept battling and earned the rebound goal in the scramble that ensued! Many players would’ve stopped to complain or thrown their arms up but Calder just kept battling!
Girls 2013 - Gia Chelman
Not only has Gia worked to improve her skills but she has become a fine leader on the team. She worked her tail off in the first half, stepping into
passing lanes, running down attackers, advancing the ball to targets, and then later pushing forward and taking some shots. When the need arose, she jumped in to play in goal. Her communication -- loud and useful -- is a model for the rest of the team.
Girls 2014 - Gianna DeFranceso
After a winter of technical training and highlighting our need to be composed and thoughtful about our decisions and passes, Gianna consistently stepped into passing lanes, controlled the ball, and made a quality pass to get us into the attack. She anticipates the play and tackles well which broke up the opponents attack several
