We would like to address a recent miscommunication that occurred between stream marshals at the Trout Rodeo during the 2026 WV Trout Fest and the Pendleton County Chamber of Commerce regarding the tagged fish results.

It was incorrectly announced that tagged fish #22 had been caught and that a $1,000 prize had been awarded. After reviewing the information and talking to the parties involved, we have confirmed that this announcement was made in error. Tagged fish #22 was not caught during the rodeo.

We would like to clarify that the angler who successfully caught tagged fish #21 will receive the correct prize of $500 in accordance with the official event rules.

We sincerely apologize for any confusion this may have caused and appreciate the public’s understanding as we work to ensure accurate communication. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the event a success.

What a weekend at Troutfest!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and stopped by our booth. It was great meeting each and every one of you, talking fishing, and sharing what Strong Tower Rod Company is all about.

We truly appreciate the invitation to be part of such a great event—and you can count on us being back next year!
