Franklin County Fair Board representatives are heading to the Galt House East in Louisville for the annual convention of the Kentucky Association of Fairs and Horse Shows this weekend. While there we will be visiting the trade show to see what new attractions might be available to bring to our Fair this year and attending workshops to learn more about how to make our Fair the best it can be.

As part of the program, it's the weekend that our Miss, MS, and MRS Franklin County Fair winners compete for the state crown in their pageants. Please join us in wishing our beautiful royalty the best of luck as they shine on the stage while representing our county and our Fair!!! Not only are they beautiful, they are also talented and very intelligent. We are incredibly proud to have them wear our crowns.

Friday, beginning at 3:30 pm, our MS Franklin County Fair Abigail (Abbey) Willhoite will compete in the MS Kentucky County Fair Pageant. Following this competition will be the MRS Kentucky County Fair Pageant where our very first MRS Franklin County Fair Samantha Shimfessel-Mastin will take the stage.

Friday night is also the beginning of competition for our beautiful Miss Franklin County Fair Salay Tompkins as she meets the judges for the interview portion of her competition. On Saturday, the convention will conclude with the on-stage portion of the Miss Kentucky County Fair Pageant beginning at 6pm.

Tickets are available at the registration desk for anyone wishing to attend.

We are proud to recognize our very own Franklin County Fair Exhibit Hall Art Show judge, Janis Kirstein and the incredible achievement that her artwork has been displayed in the Louvre Museum in Paris, France. Way to go!

Western Hills High School is proud to announce that Fine Arts teacher Janis Kirstein has achieved a remarkable milestone: her artwork has been exhibited at the world-renowned Louvre Museum in Paris, France.
