The “Bridge Race” of Frankenmuth
The Frankenmuth Jaycees are proud to once again bring the Brückeläufe Half Marathon and 5K to athletes from across Michigan, the United States and even Canada.
For almost 40 years, the Frankenmuth Jaycees have been organizing some of the top road races in the Midwest. The Brückeläufe Half Marathon crosses 11 bridges in its 13.1 miles. Most notably the Holze Brücke (wooden bridge), famous in Frankenmuth for its unique structure that allows pedestrians and cars to cross the Cass River; the 1904 Gugel Bridge, and the 1907 iron tressel Black Bridge.
All proceeds from this race go to charitable causes. The race is organized by the Frankenmuth Jaycees, a service organization made up of young professionals who do good for their community and build their skills in project management, fundraising and team-building.
When you run a race in Frankenmuth, you can feel good knowing your money went to causes like children’s literacy, local police and fire departments, food drives and animal welfare!
