VIRTUAL RESULTS!!!
Diane Costello, age 76 of Fowler IN, and Teddy the Terrible Terrier, age 13, also of Fowler IN, officially completed their Fowler Fireworks Frenzy this morning. Actually, they have done LOTS of Virtual because they generally walk 1 mile/day in the neighborhood, and 3 miles is just slightly short of a 5K (a 5K Is 3.1 miles). For all of you who have signed up for VIRTUAL or are still thinking about, the rules for a VIRTUAL 5K are very simple because YOU create the scenario that works for you: one day 3.1 miles, several days with shorter segments, tread climber, run, walk, whatever! When you complete your 5K, let me know by texting me at 219-629-3953 or send a FB message. We love photos! If you want to provide PROOF with a photo of your watch, that is great, but not a requirement! Share your personal "story" if you would like!
A bit of trivia: this shirt is from the FIRST Fowler Fireworks Frenzy in 2013. The event was hosted by Fowler's Finest 4H Club as a fundraiser, not for the club itself, but for our community in general, and the Club had SO MUCH fun deciding on how to distribute our proceeds to the community. The name and logo of our event was inspired by Lexi Tompkins who was a member of Fowler's Finest. Lynnpro of Clinton, Iowa, created the eventual design which we are still using 9 years later! That first shirt was very special because it had some glow-in-the-dark printing!
