🏁 500cc Wing Micros will be permitted to compete with the 125/250 Wing class at an increased minimum weight. Official rules and weight details will be released tomorrow morning.

𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼 𝗥𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 — 𝗡𝗼𝗻-𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗻.

After gathering feedback from teams, Lightning Speedway will be running 𝗡𝗼𝗻-𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀 this week.

We appreciate everyone who reached out and helped us make the decision. Our goal was to avoid scheduling against the Minnesota Micro Series at Princeton, but based on racer interest and recent schedule updates, we feel this gives Micro teams another good opportunity to race.

𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗼𝗻.

𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼 𝗥𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 — 𝘄𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝗽𝘂𝘁.

With the Minnesota Micro Series race at Princeton this week, Lightning Speedway had originally planned to take Micros off the schedule so we were not racing against that event.

With Thunder Hill’s schedule update this week, we are considering adding Micros back to the program at Lightning Speedway as 𝗡𝗼𝗻-𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀.

Before making a final call, we want to hear from the Micro teams:

Are you planning to race the 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘁𝗮 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘁𝗼𝗻, or would you be interested in racing 𝗡𝗼𝗻-𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘄𝗮𝘆?

We will be sharing our wing/non-wing schedule so you can plan in advance.

𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲:
Larger/heavy rigs with RVs are recommended to park behind the fence.

Standard pickups with trailers should be able to park inside the fence, but please park facing away from the track.

The area directly behind the backstretch is still too soft, so please avoid parking there.
