Beer, sunshine, and beerā¦ lots of beer !!!
Welcome to the 21st Annual Hops in Humboldt!!!
This years theme is āHops 21st Birthday Bashā!!!
We encourage you to dress in your birthday best! The best hats this year will win tickets to Hops next year!
Hops features over 40 of the best breweries from across the country. You can try unlimited samples of hundreds of different micro-brews, listen to bands throughout the day, cruise different art and craft vendors, play beer games, eat amazing festival foods and use your token to vote for the āTasters Choiceā award and you even get a cool glass to keep!
So here are some quick tips to help maximize your Hops experience.
Taps: Open @ 1pm ā Close @ 5pm
Unless your VIP then it's Open @12 pm-Close @ 5 pm
Getting in: 21+ with a valid ID. Lines look super long, but we have a bunch of people checking ID's, putting on wristbands and security doing metal detector checks and checking bags for everyoneās safety. The line moves faster than you think!
Whatās at Hops? Every kind of beer you can imagine plus ciders, kombucha, seltzers, hard beverages and lots of non-alcoholic free drinks for the DD's. Food trucks, vendors, music, potential future spouses, new friends, beer games, sunshine, and a ton of fun!!!
Glasses: Are small for a reason, you are here to sample all the amazing beer and they are required by the ABCā¦we can only give a 4 oz pour.
Why all the samples? Because this gives you the opportunity to try tons of different brews (without having to commit to buying a six pack and taking a chance on not liking it). You can buy the ones you love later or dump out the ones that donāt do it for you with zero regrets! Most people leave with a few new favorites!
What are the tokens for? Everyone gets one token in their glass. Use your token to vote for your favorite brewery for the āTasters Choiceā award. The Hop's awards are given on stage at 4:30 pm. Come see who won over the judges and the people with unique locally made awards!
Lines: They look long because people get their sample then hang in front of the beer booth and bull s**t. Nicely ask them if they are in line. Most people will realize they are in the way and move. If you read thisā¦keep it in mind and get the hell out of the way so your thirsty friends can get some too!
Lost or broken glasses: We donāt give replacements period. You can buy a neck holder for your glass to improve your odds. Most land safely on the grass, but if it happens to you... you can purchase a new one at the gate.
Water: Its freeā¦drink it and stay hydrated!
No Refunds: Donāt show up 15 minutes before taps close and complain you didnāt get enough beer. That means you need to schedule more āyou timeā in your life šÆ
Smoking: Please only do it in the smoking areas and only smoke cigs/vape...itās a beer fest not a bud fest so take care of your business before you come in.
Safety: GET A Designated Driver, check the bus schedules, we have a free shuttle that goes around Fortuna, leave your car and get it in the morning. You have ZERO reasons to drive drunk. Hops is so much fun, but please drink responsibility!!!
