Solange Knowles is once again proving that art can be as accessible to everyone
Through her creative platform, Saint Heron, she’s launched The Saint Heron Library, a digital archive dedicated to making rare and out-of-print works by Black and Brown authors, poets, and artists accessible to all.
The library, announced on Instagram, houses first editions and archival treasures that often sit out of reach.
The best part is that the books can be borrowed free of charge for 45 days. Readers receive a prepaid return label, making the process simple and built on community trust.
Solange explains via Instagram, “We would like to play a small part in creating free access to the expansive range of critical thought and expression by these great minds.”
So, if you’ve ever wanted to get your hands on the kind of books that rarely leave the vault, this is knowledge as luxury, made accessible.
